Animals

If you are someone who can and wants to ride Gyulakeszi Lovarda is the place to go. You must call in advance which may present it’s own challanges as they may not speak English. However, it is worth a try.

Salföld Major is a farm you can visit if you wish to view and interact with animals.

If you’ve been wanting to adopt a dog for a long long time the shelter in Tapolca is closing down and lots of dogs and cats need homes. Jay and I have volunteered at this shelter on many occasions and met so many wonderful dogs and cats. Just sayin’!

Shops

Káptalantóti makers and farmers market on Sundays!

Hike

Hike up Szent György-hegy.

Visit Hegyestű, a mountain that was half mined away.

Walk up to the Szigligeti Vár. Perhaps park near the Szigligeti Fagyizó and enjoy ice cream before or after your hike.
