Our Wedding Party & Family
Meet our wedding party and family! We’re so lucky to have these jolly people celebrating with us. Here’s a little guide to who's who, listed alphabetically.
Aa-Zz...
Ábris
Brother of the Bride
& Ceremony Master
Known for his broader-than-the-horizon shoulders and making everyone laugh.
Audrey
Sister of the Groom
Her laugh is so powerful, it’s been known to stop conversations… and start them again.
Ayden
GroomsmAn
As athletic as he is aesthetic. Ayden’s got your back for any outfit related emergencies.
Declan
Best Man
Has enjoyed (tolerated) living with the Bride and Groom through a pandemic.
Dina
Mother of the Bride
The owner and host of our fairytale wedding venue, Hi-Hekaté, where the vibes are serene and slightly witchy (in the best way). She spends so much time meditating in this place that if you need guidance, she’s probably already sensed it.
Domi
Brother of the Bride & Ring bearer
Domi’s played so much soccer, he’s the official wedding referee. Two slices of cake? Penalty box. Long speech? Red card. Undercook the fish? Out of here. No rhythm on the dance floor? Foul. We have the best wedding guests thanks to his zero tolerance policy.
Gill
Mother of the Groom
Known for dancing until the DJ packs up the speakers and the lights come on. She’ll be the one still grooving to ‘Poppin’ Bottles Like a G6’ long after everyone else has gone home. If the floor's still open, she’s still dancing. Someone get her a water... or another bottle of champagne.
Gord
Father of the Groom
Became an engineer thinking he'd invent gadgets. Now he invents reasons to kite surf.
Ishaan
Bridesman
As a kid, his dream job was 'husband.' If you catch him practicing his twirl, just smile and keep moving. He's really into it.
Karine
Married to Robert & mother of domi, the ring bearer
As a UN interpreter, she speaks more languages than most. And yes, that includes whale. If you listen closely, you might catch her trying to communicate with the fish in nearby Lake Balaton, expanding into the field of Hungarian underwater diplomacy.
Lindsay
sister of the groom
Probably the biggest freshwater fan at the wedding. Not convinced? After the wedding, she’s off to cycle around the Great Lakes of Canada. If you can’t find her at the party, check by the lake with Karine.
Mariana
Bridesmaid
At the wedding, you’ll catch her in a quiet corner, carefully coordinating her army of hairpins, each one deployed with military precision to maintain the perfect ‘effortlessly chic’ look. You may wonder, ‘Why so many hairpins?’ But then, you’ll see her on the dance floor, her hair still perfect while everyone else looks like they’ve been through a wind tunnel. And you'll realize...you’ve been a fool.
Robert
Father of the Bride
A winemaker by trade. At the wedding, he’ll be seen getting sidetracked and hijacking the wine service to conduct ‘market research’ on why no one under 30 wants to drink wine. It’s fine, he’s just casually trying to fix a generational crisis.
Urjuan
Maid of Honor
At the wedding, she’ll accidentally befriend everyone. One minute, she’s providing valuable insight to Robert (doing ‘market research’), the next, she’s leading a conga line with Gill.
Xavier
GroomsmAn
The human equivalent of a perfectly poured cocktail: cool, calm, and classy
